I need to automatically apply message filters on all messages when copied to a subfolder (in Local Folders) with other filters from other folders and accounts. I copy e-mails to specific subfolder placed in Local folders from several Inboxes. My filters for this subfolder work but only manually applied. The existing conditions when to apply filters do not cover copying messages (copying is not getting new mail or archiving etc) . When i apply filters manually they work but next time i apply manually again all messages are effected - filters does not work only ones as when getting new mail. Is there any way to create filters working automatically and ones applied on some message not to effect it again when filter applied again to this subfolder?

I recieve several emails a day from a submission form on my website that contain what looks like Russian words. I would like to create a message filter to move these messages directy to the trash based on one or two characters that do not appear in the english language. I thought I had done it, but the filters don't appear to work.

‘how do i get thunderbird to stop asking for log-in credentials to an account that i removed from thunderbird? every time i open thunderbird, a dialog box opens asking for my passord to an old account, that has been removed.

I downloaded Thunderbird and am still getting Outlook emails in the T-bird app? I feel like I'm missing something or doing something wrong. Does this mean I cannot cancel my MS Office 365? I'm having so much trouble with Apple Mail and Thunderbird saving my password and I do have an Apple User Defined Password. So, I'm constantly having to input my password. Any suggestion would be deeply appreciated!

Hello dear support team Some e-mails in the Inbox are of a huge size, like 32 MB and more, even without attachment. I already used repair function, but it stays the same. In Outlook, the same email is of normal size (80 kb). So, it is not the e-mail provider or the database at the provider. I have had this situation throughout several updates, so it is not specific to a certain update. The ones that have an attachment and the same problem (attachments of less than 1GB but show 42 GB) cannot be moved. The error dialog says: to big to move. Also, the attachments cannot be removed as they show 0 kb and the attachments name is crossed out. This is not true for all mails, but some have this problem. What do you recommend?

ISSUE: Every day I have to call the telecom ROGERS that took over for telecom SHAW, turn IMAP and Pop3 on 9 Email accounts (they lost 1). Sometimes the 1 to 2 hors chat w/ a human turned it back on will not last long.

DETAILS:

1. I can receive outside Emails *because I can't send using Shaw/Rogers, checking for Email, just hangs at trying to login in to any of the 9/10 emails.
2. When I can get a support person to check, they tell me that IMAP and POP3 are turned off.
3. They will tell me they re-enabled it. But it doesn't enable for me.
4. It all works OK when using the online webmail Zimbra. However, I need to check 3 of the 9 email accounts every hour, others every 6 hours, and others once a day at boot.

QUESTION: When using POP3, does the setting on my SMTP need a special setting on Thunderbird?.

NOTE: I am complying with "Rogers With Shaw" passing the buck to the Email Client (Thunderbird) by asking here - "Could It Be The Email Client'! And my answer is 'No', because Thunderbird works perfectly with 54 other Email accounts.

Active Sync 16+ is now in force and Thunderbird has lost the sync via TBsync, so contacts and calendar syncing is now dead, unless TBsync is updated quickly, seems unlikely from reading their website. TB has advised that contacts and calendar are still on a dream list and no date for implementation is known. So TB is no longer a substitute for users wanting to escape Outlook. I am a long time user of TB and a donator, so why have you not pre-planned the inclusion of contacts and calendar sooner or even included TBsync into the code and kept its syncing ability uptodate.

TB with just email sync is no different to many email apps that come with laptop and tablets, so I may as well revert to using in my case Apple Mail.

I used to be able to drag and drop emails from my inbox into an archive folder. That no longer works. I now have to right click the email, select "move to", then select the account containing the archives, then select "archives", then select the destination archive I need to send it to. On the right click drop-down there's an option to "move to *** again" but if you're moving emails to different archive destinations, that's not very helpful. Is there a setting to reinstate drag and drop?

I receive emails from one source that's supposed to have a banner image at the top. In Thunderbird it shows the broken image icon and the image as an attachment. But in RoundCube it shows as expected.

The html shows:

The image part of the email shows: content-id: <piXdKIOofB>

I'm guessing that those angle brackets around `content-id` are breaking the display, such that it's calling that a mis-match.

Hello! No real issues or bugs to report, but I had some curiosities about independent audit documents. I appreciate the dedication to privacy and transparency, as I am sure many do; I've noticed that there are readily available audit documents for the Thunderbird Send and K-9 which is cool - are there any such audit documents for Thunderbird Desktop for Linux, or do the aforementioned documents sort of cover the same thing? If you could help me understand this (or perhaps point me to information or docs I missed), that would be appreciated!

On both my accounts "Sent" has popped up twice and on bjornla1bn@gmail.com I have been blessed with two "Spam" files. This is most annoying causing trouble. How can I correct this without loosing data?

Everything working just fine last night. Wake up and Thunderbird will not retrieve emails.

Remembered this old message I got so I went through and deleted my second email address, didn't help.

Checked all settings compared to Yahoo, still won't download messages. I can even send a message with my current settings no problem, and it does login, just won't retrieve emails. Gives me a connection timeout.

Anyone have any ideas?

I am using Thunderbird 140.10.0esr (64-bit) (latest) and for some time I have had a lot of trouble with it moving folders out of alphabetical order (but not all folders) and when I tried to move them where they belong it complains. Then today it can not find several folders. I can not even see the *.msf files and yet the utility "EVERYTHING" says the msf files are in the default directory where they belong but they are not visible from Windows 10 explorer and Thunderbird is not telling me that all folders are empty (including inbox). How do I repair Thunderbird? HELP!!!!!

When I drag an email from the inbox to a subfolder for that account it disappears from the inbox and doesn't reappear in the destination folder. Started fairly recently. Search can't locate it. Moving using the menus also doesn't work most of the time.

Hello. Impossible to connect to an existing Google account. Neither to the "full" account, nor to the Contact list nor to a Calendar of an existing account. Neither to a "private" account, not to a "workspace".

When trying to connect to a Contact list, after the Oauth window and the authorisation to share data from Google accounts, the app answer "Connexion impossible" (I am a French user).

When trying to connect to Calendars, Google's window asking authorisation to share data comes back after clicking "authorise".
